This video and poem is the result of Chapter 2 of Ash’s sensual self-publishing project, POETRY SLUT RODEO. In Chapter 2, Ash investigated masturbation in relation to her memories, formation of pleasure and understanding of identity as a country raised woman in continual transit and evolution.

Alongside publishing this video via Substack, she created the BOOTY SNATCHER 2000, an experimental book of micro-poems about pleasure, which was sent via snail mail to project participants.

SELF PLEASURE PRAYER

Leaving without a trace. Masturbating in the dirt, I grow roots. Sighs on a breeze, I fly in the clouds. On my knees on a tile floor, I turn into golden hay. I pray. Thank You, pleasure body, dark matter soul, curiosity cum.
