Hotel Gilbert & Other Horny Poems is a sweet and sexy poetry quickie inspired by a week-long stay in a sex hotel in Mexico City.
Through sensual processes of awareness, spontaneous and passionate acts of creation, and restrictions of time, Hotel Gilbert became the site and activator of an embodied poetic performance—writing on the sex sofa, design on the LED illuminated bed, downtime in the jacuzzi.
This horny micro-collection of poems was written and designed in 3 days in Hotel Gilbert, Amado Nervo 37, Santa Maria la Ribera, Mexico City, in rooms 104, 113 and 402.
Printed books were left in the hotel lobby as a final act in the site-specific activation of performative poetry.
